02 / Our story

Four generations, one family, one trade

The family’s link with valves goes back to 1911, when Chimanlal Karsandas Mashruwala began importing pipes, pipe fittings and valves into Western India. In 1960 his son, Sharad C Mashruwala, set up Venus Engineering Works with his brothers to manufacture industrial valves and fittings.

Anand S Mashruwala joined in 1980, and from the early 1990s developed valves around customers’ specific problems — erosive mining duties, corrosive pure-water and brine service. Anay Mashruwala, the fourth generation, joined in 2008 and put design and innovation at the centre of the company.

Today the company works with consultants, EPC contractors, end users and maintenance teams to specify, design, make, test and service equipment for the job in hand.
